Sam Cook is a Cardiff-based television presenter best known for his work on the Local TV channel, Cardiff TV. During his time at the channel, Sam has interviewed phenomenal faces including Welsh legends Michael Sheen, Rhod Gilbert and Ioan Gruffudd and rubbed shoulders with Time Lords – Peter Davison, Sylvester McCoy, Christopher Eccleston and Jodie Whittaker. During the Coronavirus Lockdown of 2020, Sam interviewed the likes of Dani Harmer, Jon Culshaw, Daniel Mays and comedians – Suzi Ruffell and Rosie Jones. These interviews feature as part of Sam’s podcast: ‘Sgwrs!’
Renowned for his interviews on the streets of Cardiff, Sam is looking to further establish himself in the creative industry and gain more roles with film and television. Alongside Cardiff TV, Sam has also compered several events including fashion shows, workshops and lectures at the University of South Wales. In 2019, Sam became the official Social Media Presenter for It’s My Shout – a platform designed to help younger people get into the creative industry. Similarly, Sam regularly presents ‘ColourVision TV’- a YouTube channel that accompanies a number of kids-clubs across the UK that help children become YouTubers. In 2020, Sam became a Content Creator for BBC Sesh, producing sketches for young people in Wales. A “dedicated follower of fashion”, Sam also works as a Brand Ambassador for the American clothing brand – Lords of Harlech. Despite mainly working for Cardiff TV, Sam works alongside both the Cardiff International Film Festival and Style of the City in the Welsh capital.
Sam’s acting experience includes CBS Reality’s ‘Murder by the Sea’, BBC Two’s BAFTA nominated short ‘Involuntary Activist’ and Tornado Studios’ ‘Nobody Girl’.
