Ciaran Fitzgerald
Ciaran is a disabled presenter, writer and podcaster from Port Talbot. He came to the forefront, fronting the groundbreaking documentary ‘Y Gymraeg: Hawl Pob Plentyn’ for S4C in 2024, exploring the lack of accessibility to Welsh medium education for disabled children. He has also appeared on programmes such as ‘Prynhawn Da,’ ‘Heno,’ and ‘Pawb A’i Farn.’ For BBC Radio Wales, he has been interviewed on the Roy Noble Show and Bronwen Lewis Show. He has also contributed to ‘Bravehearts,’ a short documentary for GRID and S4C about the Swansea Bravehearts Disability Football Team, who he plays for. As a writer, his RTS CYMRU AWARD winning comedy series BWMP, is the first Welsh-language comedy with a disabled lead, and has been commissioned for a series to air in 2025. He has also written for Sherman Theatre and Theatr Clwyd. Ciaran is passionate about increasing disability representation on screen, which he hopes to do through his presenting and writing work.
