Seren Jones

Seren Jones is an award-winning, BAFTA nominated journalist and presenter, specialising in podcasts and documentaries. In the audio space, Seren has hosted, written and produced narrative, nonfiction shows for some of the world’s biggest audio platforms including Wondery, Apple, Corus, USG Audio, BBC and Audible. Her national accolades include British Podcast Awards, ARIAS nominations, and industry titles such as Radio Academy’s 30 Under 30, as well as PodPod’s Faces to Watch. Prior to her time in audio, Seren was a multimedia reporter and producer at BBC News covering national and international news for the World Service, Radio 4, the News Podcast Unit, BBC Wales, BBC Cymru and additionally S4C. On screen, Seren has hosted and presented a number of programmes and events, from national Eisteddfods; to BBC Bitesize; to Tafwyl – and has featured in a number of Welsh language documentaries. Her feature documentary, Zimbabwe, Taid a Fi, led to Seren’s first BAFTA nomination in the breakthrough category. Beyond journalism, Seren is co-founder and trustee of the Black Swimming Association (BSA), an award-winning charity set up to raise awareness of water safety and drowning prevention especially amongst African, Caribbean and Asian communities across the U.K. Seren speaks publicly on issues involving race, gender and equality in sport, and was named as one of the Standard’s 23 Female Change-Makers to Know. From current affairs and news, to sports and social impact, Seren is adaptable and versatile with a professionalism that stands out as a presenter, thanks to her experience working in production. Most importantly, she is driven by her love for storytelling and connecting with contributors and audiences.
