Nicky Batchelor
Nicky is a food-obsessed, travel-loving, style-concious content creator who’s been sharing his adventures in dining, luxury escapes, and life’s little pleasures for over ten years. You’ll usually find him exploring Wales (and beyond), documenting every bite and breathtaking view over on his Instagram, @batchout.
Nicky grew up in the South Wales Valleys, but these days he’s living by the coast with his partner and Derek the cockapoo. When they aren’t chasing sunsets or good food, they are busy bringing their Victorian terrace home back to life.
He’s had the opportunity to create some amazing travel content with luxury hotel stays for the Seren Collection, Rarebits Hotels, and Celtic Manor/Celtic Collection. Whether it’s spotlighting boutique stays with Cornwall based Tregulland & Co or capturing the beauty of Visit Wales and Visit Herefordshire destinations, Nicky loves curating stories that make people want to pack their bags.
Supporting local is huge for him – having partnered with brands like Snowdonia Cheese, Barti Rum, Da Mhile Organic Whisky, and Gower Gin to shine a light on Welsh products, and even got to help M&S celebrate St David’s Day. When it comes to food, Nicky has put together recipes for Welsh Meat promotions (Beef & Pork) and crafted cocktail pairings for the Michelin-recommended Purple Poppadom in Cardiff.
Growing up in his family’s pub definitely left its mark – he’s a self-confessed spirits geek with a soft spot for craft cocktails. That passion has led to collaborations with brands like Master of Malt and the Japan Sake and Shochu Makers Association.
And when the music’s calling, he’s there too – Nicky has partnered with festivals like Bristol’s weekend long Valley Fest and worked with legends like Carl Cox and Cardiff’s Lamerica to celebrate the best of live events and nightlife.
It’s all about sharing the things he loves – good food, great places, new outfits and unforgettable experiences.
