JESS BLOOM
Jess Bloom is a freelance presenter and food blogger based in Cardiff. Most known for presenting weekend day time on Capital South Wales and running popular foodie instagram account @bloomseats.
After making radio shows in her bedroom when she was 10, and being a long term fan of Capital (formerly ‘Red Dragon FM’), Jess landed a role at Capital South Wales in early 2016 as part of their marketing department. When an opportunity arose the following year for somebody to host Capital Weekends, Jess spent long hours in the evenings and weekends learning the ins and outs of the studio and how to drive the desk, recording demos and requesting feedback before getting the gig and making her debut on air in 2017, as well as jumping in to cover good pals Josh and Kally’s drive time show during any well deserved time off.
Her career highlights include interviewing boy band Raksu, Hollywood Marvel actor Dave Bautista, and Game of Thrones star Iain Glen, working backstage at the Little Mix show at Caldicot Castle, chatting to Sean Paul and Jess Glynn backstage at the Motorpoint Arena, and working with Welsh reality star Ibiza Weekender’s Jordan Davies on a client campaign.
Along with her passion for radio, Jess puts her passion for health, nutrition and well-being into Instagram account Bloom’s Eats. She’s known for promoting a healthy lifestyle with no fad diets, creating recipes, giving fitness advice and lifestyle hacks. Brands often comment on her great amount of engagement and she’s helped promote products such as Westlands UK, Pact Coffee and Jonny Wilkinsons No1 Kombucha brand.
Merging her 2 passions, radio and nutrition, Jess worked as the face of a campaign for Cardiff based kitchen company Cardiff Marble, with images of Jess in her happy place, the kitchen, on multiple billboards across Wales. She also has provided punchy voiceovers for Cardiff Marble, as well as voicing the adverts for popular Cardiff entertainment venue The Red Dragon Centre.
Outside of work, Jess enjoys travelling, trying out the latest skincare and beauty products and Harry Potter movie marathons.
