Ceri Elen

BiographyCeri was born and brought up in North Wales, and now lives in Cardiff. She trained as an actor at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in 2010. She has worked with Theatr Iolo, Sherman Theatre, Theatr Genedlaethol Cymru, Cwmni’r Frân Wen, Elan Wales, Derby Theatre and Rondo Media. Her theatre credits include playing Polly in the stage version of Dylan Thomas’ Adventures in the Skin Trade at the Sydney Opera House, as part of the Dylan Thomas Centenary celebrations (Theatr Iolo) and Boxy and Sticky at Arts Centre Melbourne (Theatr Iolo and Sarah Argent – Ceri also translated the play into Welsh for the Wales tour), The Princess and the Pea (Sherman Theatre and Theatr Iolo – Ceri also translated the play for the Welsh language version of the production), Blodyn and Estron (Theatr Genedlaethol Cymru), and performing Dim Diolch (Cwmni’r Frân Wen) at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Ceri played Fflur Stevens in the popular Welsh language drama ‘Rownd a Rownd’ for S4C.

 

Cafodd Ceri ei geni a’i magu yng Ngogledd Cymru, ac erbyn hyn mae hi’n byw yng Nghaerdydd. Fe hyfforddodd fel actor yng Ngholeg Brenhinol Cerdd a Drama Cymru yn 2010. Mae hi wedi gweithio gyda Theatr Iolo, Theatr y Sherman, Theatr Genedlaethol Cymru, Cwmni’r Frân Wen, Elan Wales, Derby Theatre a Rondo Media. Mae rhai o’i chredydau theatr yn cynnwys chwarae Polly yn y cynhyrchiad llwyfan o Adventures in the Skin Trade Dylan Thomas yn Nhŷ Opera Sydney, ar gyfer dathliadau can mlwyddiant Dylan Thomas (Theatr Iolo) a Boxy and Sticky yng Nghanolfan Gelfyddydau Melbourne (Theatr Iolo a Sarah Argent – fe wnaeth Ceri hefyd gyfieithu’r ddrama i’r Gymraeg ar gyfer y daith yng Nghymru), The Princess and the Pea (Theatr y Sherman a Theatr Iolo – fe wnaeth Ceri hefyd gyfieithu’r ddrama ar gyfer y fersiwn Gymraeg o’r cynhyrchiad), Blodyn ac Estron (Theatr Genedlaethol Cymru), a pherfformio Dim Diolch (Cwmni’r Frân Wen) yng Ngŵyl Caeredin.

Bu Ceri yn chwarae rhan Fflur Stevens yn y ddrama deledu boblogaidd ‘Rownd a Rownd’ i S4C.
