Alys is a bilingual actress from Cardiff and is comfortable performing in both Welsh and English. She is currently a member of the National Youth Theatre of Wales, the Young Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama and West Glamorgan Youth Theatre Companies. Her television credits include the series lead Gwen in the S4C series ‘Y Coridor’ (Boom Plant), Hard Cell (Leopard Pictures) and Cali (lead character, 2 series) in Lolipop (Boom Plant) . She also played Katie in radio drama ‘Pontaman FC’ (Radio Cymru). Alys is a two time winner of the National Urdd Eisteddfod Stand-Up competition. Alys trains as singer with Louise Ryan Vocal School, and is a highly skilled soloist and choral singer. She is a keen musician as a multi-instrumentalist with strong piano skills. Alys is a also playwright, and recently was the winner of the 2024 Eisteddfod yr Urdd Maldwyn Drama Medal for her short play titled ‘Amserlen’, and is a Young Resident Playwright for Theatr Genedlaethol.
