In 2009 Vedi learnt the joy of creation when he was given the opportunity to choreograph for the Pineapple Arts showcase held at the Leicester Square Theatre. Gaining experience leading a room, a team and a creative piece at a young age gave him the confidence to pursue this avenue further culminating in a catalogue of movement based works leading up to his formal training.
Since finishing training Vedi has expanded his capacity with further experience in choreographing, directing and writing for shows and collectives alike. This includes Pinky and Preetho’s Comedy Night (Rifco Theatre Company); Futures in the Making (Spread the Word) and in March 2019 he completed his role as Assistant Director on Absurd Person Singular for Watford Palace Theatre as part of an RTYDS placement.
Vedi continuously develops his creative practice whilst making issue-led pieces with strong narratives, often focusing on previously unheard of stories using movement, written form and comedy as vehicles for his creativity.
A joyful energy, lateral-thinking and the ability to adapt, create and thrive on any brief is what you will gain with Vedi on your project.
