Martin Barrass

Biography
Martin is from Hull and he trained at the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art.

Favourite amongst many theatre include ‘Alfie’ the ancient waiter in ONE MAN TWO GUVNERS (National Theatre/Theatre Royal Haymarket) ‘The Mayor’ in THE HYPOCRITE (RSC/Hull Truck) “Mr Perks” in THE RAILWAY CHILDREN (York Theatre Royal/Kings Cross Theatre) and ‘Stan Laurel’ in LAUREL AND HARDY (York Theatre Royal) and most recently lead in BRASSED OFF at the New Vic Theatre. Martin has also played nearly 30 consecutive seasons in the legendary York Theatre Royal pantomime with Berwick Kaler.

Screen includes a regular role in EMMERDALE, THE BILL, HEARTBEAT, THE FIRM and beginning with REMEMBRANCE (Ch4) feature film in which he starred early in his career opposite Gary Oldman.
