MARICLARE CAREY-JONES

Mariclare Carey-Jones is talented Broadcast Journalist and Presenter, who has travelled the world filming television and radio programmes.

Her great passions are wildlife, conservation and rural affairs. Currently Mariclare can be heard on Farming Today on Radio 4, and previously she presented a factual entertainment series for the Made Television Network called Animal Sanctuary. She also has a diploma in Zoology.

Mariclare’s other specialist area is Health Journalism; as ITV Wales News Health Correspondent she won several awards from the Medical Journalists’ Association and made regular appearances on the ITV National News.

However, Mariclare is comfortable presenting a range of factual formats on television and radio. She has been a presenter on the political programme Wales Decides for ITV, as well as the face of What’s Occurrin’, Cardiff? a nightly magazine show on Made in Cardiff TV, and she has presented the Breakfast Show for Nation Radio.

In addition to her media work, Mariclare is also an Ambassador for the Marie Curie Cardiff and Vale Hospice, and she is a vocal supporter of Elephant Nature Park in Thailand where she spent time volunteering with the care of the elephants.
