Llew Davies trained at The Royal Academy Of Music, London after completing his BA degree in Theatre, Music and Media at the University of Wales Trinity Saint David. Whilst undertaking his training he gained experience in various disciplines including acting, singing and directing. His Welsh language TV acting credits began with playing ‘Mei Pant’, one of the lead characters in 3 series’ of Bafta winning drama ‘Darn O Dir’ for S4C. Recurring roles in dramas ‘Caerdydd’, ‘Alys’ and ‘Con Passionate’ then followed. He is probably best known for portraying ‘Chris Frost’, a regular character on the Welsh language soap opera ‘Pobol y Cwm’ and more recently, ‘Llyr Hopkins’, a regular character on long-running youth-drama ‘Rownd a Rownd’. His English language acting credits include the recurring role of ‘Sir Norton’ in ‘The Bastard Executioner’ series (written by Kurt Sutter for Fox Tv and directed by Paris Barkley), and the recurring role of ‘Truccio’ in the ABC Television series ‘Still Star Crossed’ produced by Shonda Rhimes.
He has done commercial work for Western Power, The Welsh Lottery and has voiced a radio advert for The Principality.
He is a singer/songwriter/musician, performing his own original material in both Welsh and English. He has vast experience of both stage and live-tv singing and performance, including performances at The Welsh Millennium Centre and The Royal Opera House, Covent Garden.
