Jonathan trained at ArtsEd in 2014/15, having previously worked in Tax Law and Corporate Finance for over a decade. After graduating, his first role was Leo in the sell-out run of Fucking Men at The King’s Head Theatre. He then spent 7 months on the UK No.1 Tour of The Full Monty with David Pugh Ltd and more recently has worked on challenging and daring contemporary roles in The Peregrine (Stockwell Playhouse) and Anthony Neilson’s The Censor (Hope Theatre).
He has maintained his love of Shakespeare with tours of A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Oberon) and Secrets Unlocked – a site-specific “Shakespeare in war-time” production in Jersey, both with Butterfly Theatre Co. He is one of a small number of actors to have appeared in wholly cue-scripted Shakespeare productions; The Merchant of Venice (Bassanio, Cockpit Theatre, 2017) and The Taming of the Shrew (Hortensio, Tristan Bates Theatre, 2018).
Recent TV credits include Carswell in Outlander (Season 4, 2018) and Jordan Bradshaw in Coronation Street (2019).
