JEZ EDWARDS

Jez’s CV is vast and varied, spanning 22 years.

He presented over 200 ‘Xchange’ live magazine shows for CBBC.  He has travelled the world reporting on life’s more colourful characters for BBC’s ‘Record Breakers’, presented CITVs Saturday mornings with Jarvis the chimp on ‘Mashed’ and took care of entertainment business on FIVE with ‘Exclusive’.  Throw into the mix mad game show ‘Crazy Cottage’ and magazine show ‘Sticky’ for CITV and ‘Freestylers’ a sports show for CBBC and Jez’s love of variety and fun is evident.

There is a serious side to Jez too.  He was main anchor on current affairs programme ‘Inside Out’ for BBC Manchester. He also reported for Football Focus, Holiday and was Eurosport’s main man for 2006 World Cup Show.

Jez loves a live audience and has had great corporate success.  He is currently an MC for Manchester United on matchdays and for Partner Conferences and sponsor launches.  He chaired the recent BBC Alumni screening and Q&A of ‘Earth. One Amazing Day’ and took charge for Virgin Atlantic at their annual big fundraising night.  Other clients include The Co-operative, South East Counter Terrorist Unit, SECU, BAFTA, and Parent Zone.

His radio career has been spent on BBC Radio 7 holding the fort on youth magazine format ‘The Big Toe Radio Show’.  Followed by 3 years on CBeebies Radio. These two great and fun shows helped Jez discover a new love for narration.

He has gone on to voice a number of characters like Buster the guide dog in ‘i Spy Detective Agency’ on CBeebies Radio.  He also played ‘Vlogster’ the fast talking host of CBBC’s ‘Technobabble’.  A show all about the future of technology, apps and gaming.

He has also narrated ‘All for a Pound of Flesh’ written by Jamila Gavin.  Part of BBC Learnings ‘Shakespeare Retold’ series.  Jez played ‘CT’ in ‘Chi Ro The Secret’. ‘CT’ is a robotic biblical owl and also a time travelling machine.

For the past few years you cannot wipe the smile off Jez’s face as he now plays ‘Cormac’ in ‘Chuggington’.   Other work includes:  Mrs Browns Boys TV Ads, BBC Education,  BBC Learning and  CBeebies Storytime.
