Janina Anderson

Biography

Janina Grew up in Porthcawl as a child actress under the wing of Roger Burnell. She was part of HTV children’s workshops and Sherman Theatre Youth Group. She presented the teenage magazine programme THE GEN at aged 15 before touring with the Welsh National Opera in CARMEN. Soon after, her first series regular role came as the gritty Jodie Monks in BBCs TIGER BAY. She the went on to play naughty nurse Chloe Hill on CASUALTY for 6 years, then Lisa Hill in LONDONS BURNING, Tess Conti in NUTS AND BOLTS, and another series regular in IS HARRY ON THE BOAT.
Soon after she relocated to the states for a decade where she studied , travelled and worked on US productions such as PRISON BREAK and CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM.
Back in the UK since 2012  touring with the theatre production PARALLEL LINES, working on many independent award winning films such as THE FITZROY and starring in programmes such as DOCTORS BBC, PORRIDGE and TOURIST TRAP.
In 2020 her series regular┬árole in the magical children’s comedy PANTAU will be aired on Netflix and worldwide.
Janina continues to help with animal charities and work towards her passion of one day having her own animal sanctuary for cats and dogs.
