Glain Rhys

Glain is a Welsh singer and actress who comes from the small town of Bala in North Wales. She recently made it to the semi finals of Britain’s Got Talent with the viral musical theatre super group ‘Welsh of the West End’.

As a Welsh speaker having grown up in rural North Wales, Glain is no stranger to the Welsh music scene and the Eisteddfod. She relesed her first album back in 2018, and has played some of Wales’ most prominent stages, such as Tafwyl, Greenman and the Eisteddfod, as well as several music programs on S4C including Dechrau Canu Dechrau Canmol, Noson Lawen, Nadolig Al Lewis, Cwt Cerdd and Uchafbwyntiau Tafwyl.

Glain took over Lŵp’s social media during Tafwyl, presenting some of the highlights of the festival. Glain has also presented a segment for Dechrau Canu Dechrau Canmol in 2021.

Having trained as a secondary Welsh Language teacher, she is a natural people person and just as comfortable in front of the camera, with an audience, as she is in front of a classroom.
