Emil Lager

Biography
Emil was born in Sweden and is based in Stockholm and London. He trained at Ecole Jacques Lecoq in Paris and used his comic ability and musical talent in combination as he created his own show SCANDAMANIACS with friend and colleague Sara Lewerth whilst still training.

The show was well received in France, Sweden, Spain and England where it played to great acclaim at Wilton’s Music Hall and the Kings Head Theatre amongst other venues. Emil’s Deppesque good looks and unique personality caught the eye of Martin Scorsese for movie HUGO and he went on to appear in CHEERFUL WEATHER FOR THE WEDDING (dir: Donald Rice) and SUSPENSION OF DISBELIEF (dir: Mike Figgis). Emil divides his time between playing gigs with his solo project, cabaret performances and filming including BBC satire series W1A and iconic series SKINS.

Emil is also the guitarist for Japanese superstar Ayumi Hamsaki in several of her music videos as he also really enjoys pretending to play guitar as well as actually playing it!
