Daf Palfrey

Biography
 

Daf has been a professional writer and director for over 20 years. His first project was a documentary on Puerto Rican photographer and composer Jack Delano, which he wrote and co-directed for the Smithsonian Institution.
Since then, he has directed close to 40 music videos, commercials, numerous factual programmes for the BBC, ITV, National Geographic, Channel 4, Sky and Discovery, TV drama for the BBC, S4C, Discovery ID (shows include: Casualty, Crash, Fear Thy Neighbor, Murder U) and was the first director of the internationally acclaimed S4C school drama Gwaith/Cartref. 
As a writer, he has written two feature films for Ffilm Cymru Wales, written a drama documentary about settlers in Patagonia (commissioned by S4C) and a drama series adaptation of “The Dead Kid Detective Agency” novels by Evan Munday. 
He continues to develop a varied development slate for UK and North American broadcasters. 
Before all that, he was a singer and lead guitarist with funk band Hanner Pei and he still performs as Dave Palmtree.
